Celebrating the Gift of Giving
God truly blessed the work of United Methodist Foundation, Inc. throughout 2009, and we thank you for your faith, trust, and support of the work we do in the name of Jesus Christ.
2009 witnessed a significant rebounding of all UMF investments after the tumultuous declines of the previous year. Staying true to our socially-responsible investment heritage, the Foundation also initiated in ‘09 the ability to vote directly on all proxy issues facing the companies owned through the investments of your United Methodist Foundation. And we are excited to announce that starting in February 2010; the Foundation will begin to offer monthly reporting on all UMF accounts.
These accomplishments come because of the many churches and individuals whose generous gifts and investments make our stewardship ministry possible. Together, we partner to further the kingdom-building work of the local church throughout eastern North Carolina. We also celebrate the generous gifts of time and leadership given by local church leaders, past and current Board members, and Conference lay & clergy leadership. Their support, guidance, and commitment allow us to reach out in service throughout our Annual Conference.
