The United Methodist Foundation, Inc., of the North Carolina Conference was established in 1955. It is the oldest conference foundation in Methodism. UMF is a member of the Southeastern Jurisdiction Association of United Methodist Foundations, the National Association of United Methodist Foundations, and a founding member of United Methodist Legacy Partners.
